Summary

  1. 1.

The solubilities of ethylene in liquid hexane, cyclohexane, and benzene were investigated at 30–150° at pressures ranging up to 120 atm.

  2. 2.

At a given temperature and pressure, the solubility of ethylene falls along the series n-C6H14-C6H12-C6H6.

  3. 3.

Calculations were made of the molar volumes of mixtures, corresponding to saturation pressures at temperatures ranging from 30° to 125°.
