Summary
-
1.
The effect of heterogeneity and “interaction” on chemisorption of acetylene on metallic nickel was studied.
-
2.
The change in the activation energies and heats of adsorption of acetylene with a change in the degree of filling of the surface by adsorbed acetylene is mainly connected with heterogeneity of the active surface. Interaction was found to have an appreciable, but weaker effect in comparison with heterogeneity.
