Strophanthidin D- and L-arabinosides

Conclusions

Strophanthidin 3-α-D-arabinopyranoside and strophanthidin 3-α-L-arabinopyranoside have been synthesized from strophanthidin and D - and L-arabinoses. The L -arabinoside possesses a cardiotonic activity 1.4 times greater than that of the D-arabinoside.
