Hydrodynamic mode in solids

Abstract

The behavior of a medium in which hydrodynamic behavior is possible for some of its atoms is analyzed. A model that permits description of the resulting hydrodynamic mode is proposed. Conditions under which its occurrence in a solid becomes possible are investigated.
