Abstract

The motion of individual HfO2 particles in a Ni-HfO2 alloy at T=1623 K is investigated. It is established that the velocity of particle motion V depends on their radius according to the law V ∼ r−3. The mechanism of particle motion in the given conditions is analyzed. It is shown that the mechanism controlling the mass transfer in particle motion is diffusion through the volume of the matrix.
