Summary

As a surgical treatment of metatarsus primus varus in the adult, metatarsal osteotomy toward valgus near the base with internal fixation using a 40-mm AO small-fragment cancellous screw, in which a medical cortical console has a stabilizing function for the support of the screw head, has proved successful in 31 cases.
