Abstract
Freeze-fracture replicas were used to analyze the organization of the plasma membrane of different isolates of the genusPhytomonas. Isolates fromEuphorbia hyssopifolia, E. characias, andE. pinea, P. françai fromManihot esculenta, andP. davidi were studied. We observed that each isolate showed a distinct distribution of intramembranous particles between the extracellular (E) and protoplasmic (P) faces.
