The ultrastructure of the daughter sporocyst ofCercaria littorinae saxatilis V Popiel, 1976 (Digenea: Microphallidae)

Summary

The body wall of the daughter sporocyst ofCercaria littorinae saxatilis V Popiel, 1976 consists of a syncytial tegument and a cellular subtegument. The tegument is a narrow layer with elongate microvilli over most of the surface but also present are widely separated bulbous regions containing nuclei. In the subtegument germinal and secretory cells lie below two layers of muscle.
