Reaction of dicyclopentadienylzirconium bichloride with bis(triethylgermyl)cadmium

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The reaction of bis(triethylgermyl)cadmium with (C5H5)2ZrCl2 gave (C5H5)2Zr(Cl)GeEt3.

  2. 2.

    The reaction of the compound (C5H5)2Zr(Cl)GeEt3 with HCl or mercuric chloride proceeded with a cleavage of the Zr-Ge bond and retention of the (C5H5)2Zr and Et3Ge fragments.
