Conclusions

The polymerization of the 2,4,5-trichlorophenyl esters of peptides gave polypeptides with the sequence:-(Glu-Tyr)n-, -(Tyr-Glu)n-, -(Glu-Tyr-Tyr)n-, -(Glu-Glu-Tyr)n-, -(Glu-Glu-Glu-Tyr)n-, -(Tyr-Tyr-Tyr-Glu)n-, and-(Tyr-Glu-Glu-Glu-Glu-Glu)n-, with an average degree of polymerization of respectively 66, 25, 76, 64, 98, 43, and 48.
