Conclusions

  1. 1.

The rates of the reaction of ozone with saturated hydrocarbons of various structures in CCl4 were studied, and the values of the rate constants for various hydrocarbons were calculated.

  2. 2.

The rate of the reaction of ozone with n-paraffins is proportional to the number of hydrogen atoms in them, whereas, judging by the composition of the products, the probability of the insertion of ozone into a molecule is proportional to the strength of the C-H bond.
