Conclusions
-
1.
On a “clean” surface of a molybdenum glass vessel, molecules of CO and olefin, with which oxygen atoms present in the volume react, can be retained.
-
2.
The surface reactions of O+CO and O+olefin proceed at a substantially higher rate than the volume reactions and can make a significant contribution to the determination of the value of the rate constant of the volume reaction.
