Conclusions

  1. 1.

    For Ni(II) and Co(II) chelates of (2-mercapto-5-ethyl-3-thenylidene)-α-aminopyridine, a pseudotetrahedral coordination is most probable.

  2. 2.

    The interaction of the Co(II) chelate of (2-mercapto-5-ethyl-3-thenylidene)-α-aminopyridine with CH3I is accompanied by an increase in the coordination number of Co(II) to six.
