Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The oxidation of oligophenylenes, produced by the reaction of polycyclotrimerization, was studied.

  2. 2.

Oligophenylenecarboxylic acids were produced, and the processes of their decarboxylation were studied.

  3. 3.

A comparative evaluation of the effectiveness of various catalytic systems in the polycyclotrimerization reaction is cited.
