Conclusions

  1. 1.

The Raman and IR absorption spectra of six dioxaarsolanes were investigated. For the 2-chloro-1,3,2-dioxaarsolane molecule the frequencies and forms of the normal vibrations were calculated, the contours of the IR bands of the gas phase were studied, and some conclusions were drawn on the structure of the molecule.

  2. 2.

The most characteristic vibration frequencies of the molecules of the compounds studied were isolated, and it was shown that the dioxaarsolane ring is a characteristic element, appearing permanently in the Raman spectra.

  3. 3.

In IR spectra in the temperature interval 300–170°K, the compounds studied do not exhibit signs of conformational transitions.
