Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The kinetics of the adsorption of 1,3,5-triethylbenzene vapors on type X zeolites in the sodium and calcium ion exchange forms was investigated at various temperatures.

  2. 2.

An attempt was made to estimate the activation energy of the process of penetration of the adsorbent molecules into the cavities of the zeolites.

  3. 3.

The activation energy increases greatly with decreasing size of the entrance apertures of the zeolite cavities.
