Conclusions

  1. 1.

    All of the studied anisoles and methyl-substituted thio- and selenoanisoles exist preferably in the flat or close to flat s-trans forms.

  2. 2.

    The halo-substituted thio- and selenoanisoles are depicted by almost orthogonal conformations.
