Determination of molecular weights of cellulose sulfopropyl and sulfobutyl ethers by ultracentrifugal sedimentation and viscometry

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    We determined the molecular weights of the sulfopropyl and sulfobutyl ethers of cellulose and their intrinsic viscosities in 6% aqueous NaOH solution.

  2. 2.

    The constants in the Mark-Houwink equation were determined for the indicated solutions of these ethers.
