Conclusions
-
1.
Systems exemplified by π-allyl(π-pentenyl, π-crotyl)nickel bromide, in combination with AlBr3 and PPh3, are the most active catalysts for the oligomerization of ethylene or propylene.
-
2.
The EPR spectral data permit the conclusion that Ni(I) is formed during the formation of the catalytic system. Colloidal Ni is formed in the reaction with the olefin.
