Conclusions
-
1.
A new method is proposed for synthesizing polyampholytes, which consists in condensing di- and polyamines with formalin and H3PO2 and which allows the steps of phosphorylation and crosslinking to be combined.
-
2.
Ion exchangers are prepared from polyethylenimines, ethylenediamine, diethylenetriamine, and p-xyly lenediamine.
-
3.
The sorption characteristics of a phosphorylated polyethylenimine with respect to several metal cations have been determined.
