Conclusions
-
1.
Some B-mercurated derivatives of the o- and m-carboranes were obtained.
-
2.
The reactions of bis o(m)-c arbor an-9-yl mercury with electrophilic reagents were studied.
-
3.
In contrast to the C-mercurated carboranes, the B-mercurated carboranes approximate the aliphatic organomercury compounds in their properties.
