Conclusions

  1. 1.

It was shown to be possible to obtain high yields of 2,4-toluylene diisocyanate by the carbonylation of 2, 4-dinitrotoluene in the presence of the heterogeneous catalyst PdO-Fe2O3-MoO3 (1.4∶1∶2) on aluminum oxide with a selectivity not less than that obtained with homogeneous-heterogeneous catalysts.

  2. 2.

The possibility of directing the reaction towards the formation of monoisocyanates or diisocyanates by variation of the synthesis conditions was demonstrated.
