Conclusions

  1. 1.

The mechanism of the catalytic reaction between hydroperoxide and phosphite consists in equilibrium complex formation between the catalyst and the phosphite and the hydroperoxide, and the reaction of the phosphite with coordinated molecules of the hydroperoxide.

  2. 2.

For the catalysis, there is required the formation of reaction-capable complexes between the catalyst and the hydroperoxide in the first coordination sphere of the metal ion, whose lifetime at 19° is 10−4 sec.
