Abstract
Thermal activation and inactivation of the metacercaria ofPhilophthalmus gralli Mathis and Léger, 1910 has been reported. This study reports similar observations on the metacercaria ofPhilophthalmus hegeneri Penner and Fried, 1963. The results of this study suggest that metacercariae ofP. hegeneri are thermally activated and inactivated at lower temperatures thanP. gralli metacercariae.
