Conclusions
-
1.
Depending on the cation and solvent, the frequency of migration of a cation between oxygen atoms in the anion radical of 3,3', 5, 5'-tetra-tert-butyldiphenoquinone varies, increasing with increasing solvating ability of the solvent.
-
2.
Together with “intramolecular” migration of the cation, exchange is detected between the ion pairs, in which the cation is differently solvated by the solvent.
