Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

A new method was proposed for the synthesis of cyclopentadienylirondicarbonyl-σ-ferrocenyl.

  2. 2.

The ferrocenoyl complexes of iron and tungsten were synthesized.

  3. 3.

The decarbonylation of the ferrocenoyl complex of tungsten by heating gave cyclopentadienyltungstentricarbonyl-σ-ferrocenyl in quantitative yield. The decarbonylation of the iron complex goes under more drastic conditions, with partial decomposition.
