Conclusions
-
1.
PMR methods have been used to show that the rate of exchange in the (CH3)3SnCl+ (CH3)3SnSR system in toluene solution varies inversely with the temperature.
-
2.
At room temperature and below, the rate of exchange depends on the nature of the R radical, increasing in the order: 2,6-(CH3)2C6H3; 3,4,5-Cl3C6H2 < 3-ClC6H4 < C6H5 < 4-(CH3)2NC6H4 < CH3.
