4. Reaction of carboxylic acid chlorides and nitrosyl chloride with the complex [CpRe(CO)2X]MgX

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The reaction of [CpReI(CO)2]MgI (I) with carboxylic acid chlorides RCOCl (R=CH3, C6H5) gave the rhenium semicoordination complexes CpReI(CO)2COCH3 (II) and CpReI(CO)2COC6H5 (IV).

  2. 2.

    The decarbonylation of (II) gave CpReI(CO)2CH3 (III).

  3. 3.

    The reaction of (I) with nitrosyl chloride gave the nitrosyl complex CpReBr(CO)NO (V).
