Summary

  1. 1.

    The retention indices of 22 thiols and 7 dithiols have been determined on columns of Apiezon M, OV-17 silicone, Triton X-305, and polyethylene glycol PEG 1000 at 130°.

     
  2. 2.

    Equations relating the retention indices to the number of carbon atoms and the boiling points of n-thiols and isoaliphatic thiols, and alsoα, ω-dtthiols, have been proposed.
