Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Chemiluminescence has been found to accompany the reaction of phenanthroline cobalt complexes with hydrogen peroxide.

  2. 2.

    Experimental data presented here tend to support the belief that chemiluminescence arises through a nonradical mechanism.
