Zusammenfassung
Für die Erstellung von Arbeitsmarktprognosen ist die Vorhersage des Arbeitskräfteangebots von zentraler Bedeutung. dessen Entwicklung hängt vor allem von zwei Größen ab:

- vom Wachstum der erwerbsfähigen Bevölkerung und
-
- vom zukünftigen Verlauf der Erwerbsquote.
Im Rahmen des präsentierten Modells wird die Bevölkerungsvariable als exogen betrachtet. Sie soll für Prognosezwecke aus der demographischen Extrapolation verwendet werden. Die Erwerbsquoten hingegen sind modellendogen. Sie stellen das Kernstück des Arbeitsangebotsmodells dar.
Die vorliegende Arbeit skizziert ein ökonometrisches Arbeitsangebotsmodell auf hohem Aggregationsniveau, um es auch bei der Erstellung von gesamtwirtschaftlichen Prognosen und Simulationen sinnvoll einsetzen zu können. Aus diesem Grunde wird auf eine Analyse des altersspezifischen Erwerbsverhaltens verzichtet. Die Erwerbspersonen werden nur nach Geschlecht disaggregiert.
