Conclusions
-
1.
A broadening of the signals of the olefinic proton of the Z isomers is observed in the PMR spectra of β-substituted α-nitroacrylic esters, which is caused by scalar relaxation of the second kind.
-
2.
The broadening of the signal of the β-olefinic proton in the PMR spectrum of trisubstituted nitroalkenes can be used as a method for determining their configuration.
