Linear cooligomerization of vinylsilanes with butadiene as a method for the synthesis of silicon-containing polyenes

Conclusions

We have developed a method for the synthesis of silicon-containing polyenes from butadiene and trimethylvinylsilane or trimethoxyvinylsilane with a Ni-containing catalyst system. We suggest a reaction sequence for the cooligomerization process.
