Conclusions
-
1.
Diamminedihydroxo-compounds of Pt(IV) with nonsymmetrical coordination NO2-Pt-X were synthesized, where X = Cl−, Br−, and SCN−.
-
2.
The synthesized compounds undergo photochemical reduction to compounds of Pt(II). Possible mechanisms of the photoinduced reaction are discussed.
-
3.
The compounds (NH3)2NO2X(OH)2Pt are arranged in the following series with respect to rate of photodecomposition: Br− > Cl− > SCN−.
