Conclusions

  1. 1.

Study has been made of the kinetics of hydrogenolysis and isomerization of n-pentane on an alumoplatinum catalyst at atmospheric pressure. The hydrogenolysis reaction follows a rational-fractional equation, and isomerization an exponential equation.

  2. 2.

A stepwise reaction scheme is proposed in which the limiting step for hydrogenolysis is the C-C bond rupture and that for isomerization transformation of the surface C5H11 fragments on carrier boundary acid centers through the action of the gas phase hydrogen.
