Conclusions
The mercuration of cyclopentadienyl(triphenylphosphine)manganese or rhenium dicarbonyl gave some new organomercury derivatives, which when reacted in known manner with Pt(PPh3)3 in THF were converted to the corresponding σ-platinum derivatives.
