Abstract
This paper discusses the value of the concepts of entropy and negentropy in assisting our understanding of destrucive and constructive energy shifts in communication, with particular emphasis on examining entropic-negentropic processes in disordered family communication during adolescence. The concepts are defined, their operation in life in general is discussed, and three clinical case examples are presented.
