  • Published:
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

4-Methyl-3-carene, its epoxide, and adduct with dichlorocarbene have been synthesized.

  2. 2.

4-Methyl-3-carene exists in a much flattened syn-boat conformation.

  3. 3.

The cycloaddition products have trans configuration and anti-boat conformation with respect to the dimethylcyclopropane ring.
