Thermal activation and deactivation of chromoalumina catalysts

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Chromic oxide and chromoalumina catalyst can be deactivated by heating to the chromic oxide Tamm temperature.

  2. 2.

    The protective action of aluminum oxide with respect to the supported chromic oxide falls off sharply on calcining at the aluminum oxide Tamm temperature.
