α-Chlorothienyldichlorophosphine was obtained by the reaction ofα-chlorothiophene was phosphorus trichloride in the presence of SnCl4.

α-Chlorothienyldichlorophosphine is alkylated by tetraethyllead at the phosphorus atom to give ethyl-α-chlorothienylchlorophosphine.

A study was made of the reaction of ethyl-α-chlorothienylehlorophosphine with alcohol, diethylamine, acrylic acid, acrylamide, and methacrylamide.
