Conclusions
-
1.
A study was made of the reaction of dichlorocarbene with divinyl ether; the conditions for preparing the mono- and bisadducts were found.
-
2.
A number of the chemical and physical properties of gem-dichlorocyclopropyl vinyl ether was studied.
-
3.
gem-Dichlorocyclopropanol undergoes ring cleavage, with the formation ofα-chloroacrolein, in both acid and alkaline media.
