1.
The new model compounds: 3-(3′-O-acetylthymidine-5′-phospho)-1,3-butanediol-1-(p-nitrophenyl) phosphate, 1-(thymidine-5′-phospho)-1,4-butanediol-4-phosphate and bis-(phenylphospho)-1,4-butanediol were synthesized for studying the mechanism of the action of exonuclease A5.

2.
The structure of the synthesized compounds was proved by the enzymolytic method, and also employing UV and NMR spectroscopy.
