Conclusions

  1. 1.

The authors have studied the radiolysis of glucose in phosphoric acid solutions at 77°K by the EPR method.

  2. 2.

The transition Rphos → Rglucose was detected during heating of irradiated specimens.

  3. 3.

Like the formation of radicals from phosphoric acid, the formation of radicals from glucose at the temperature of liquid nitrogen may be due to capture of H2O+ by these molecules.
