Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Conditions for the synthesis and isolation of 6-deoxy-α-D-glucopyranosyl phosphate have been developed.

  2. 2.

    The synthesis ofuridine-5′-diphosphate-6″-deoxy-α-D-glucopyranose — the first synthetic analog of uridine diphosphate glucose containing a deoxy sugar residue — has been effected.
