1.
A method is presented for the one-step synthesis of 1,3-dichloro-5-diethylamino-1,3-pentadiene and 1,3-dichloro-7-diethylamino-1,3-heptadiene from 1,1,3,3,5-pentachloropentane and 1,1,3,3,7-pentachloroheptane, respectively.
