Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The14N NQR spectra of a number of carboxylic acid dimethylamides were studied.

     
  2. 2.

    Strong interaction of the unshared electron pair of the nitrogen atom with the carbonyl group takes place in the studied compounds.

     
  3. 3.

    The populations of the orbitals of the unshared electron pair of the nitrogen atom and the muliplicity of the N-C(O) bond were estimated.
