Communication 77. Addition of amidomethylating agents to some unsaturated steroid olefins

Conclusions

The amidomethylation of the pregna-5,16-dien-3β-o1-20-one and pregn-5-en-3β-o1-20-one acetates with either N-chloromethylor N-hydroxymethylbenzaraide proceeds at the more nucleophilic Δ5 bond to give the isomeric 6-benzamidomethyl-substituted derivatives.
