Conclusions

  1. 1.

A new additive scheme is given for calculating the molecular refraction for ten spectral lines. The constants for the atoms, groups, and bonds in the new scheme are referred to the hydrogen atom as a standard fragment of the molecule and do not contain contributions due to conjugation, superconjugation, and spatial effects.

  2. 2.

Specific correlation equations are obtained, which relate the refraction constants of the molecule's fragments with the wavelength of light.
