Conclusions

  1. 1.

By direct reaction between ionic perchlorates and AlX3 (X = Cl, Br), the Cl04, group can be introduced into the coordination sphere of the aluminum atom.

  2. 2.

    The authors have synthesized the stable complexes R4N+[X3AlOCl03] (R = CH3, C2H5, C4, H9; X = Cl, Br). These complexes have sharp melting points, which decrease as we go from X = Cl to X = Br and from R = CH3 to R = C4H9.
