Conclusions

Employing the ammonolysis, coammonolysis, and condensation reactions we prepared some N-trimethylsilyl-substituted organoaminosilanes, tetrakis(trimethylsilylamino)cyelo-disilazane, and N'N'-bis(trimethylsilyl)dimethyldiphenyldisilazane.

The thermal condensation of (N-trimethylsilylamino)organosilanes proceeds with the liberation of hexamethyldisilazane and ammonia, and leads to the formation of N-trimethylsilyl-substituted cyclodisilazanes.
